These are not characters we invented. Each one arrived orphaned, injured, or surrendered as an unwanted pet, and each one has a mug with their name on it. That mug helps pay for their keep.

Food and daily care
Hundreds of primates eat every single day, all year round. Fresh produce is the largest running cost the sanctuary carries.
Veterinary treatment
Many arrive injured, malnourished or traumatised. Treatment, surgery and medication begin on day one and often continue for years.
Rehabilitation and release
Where a monkey can be rebuilt into a troop and safely released, that is always the goal. It takes space, patience and years of skilled work.
